Forty seats, a walk-in humidor and a back bar we are a little too proud of. Come for one cigar after dinner or settle in for the evening.

The room
What we pour and what we keep
The humidor holds around two hundred cigars, most of them from small Dominican and Nicaraguan makers. The bar leans to whisky and rum, with a short cocktail list that changes with the season.

About the room
I opened the Ember Room in 2019 because every place in town that allowed a cigar was either a shop with two chairs or a bar where you couldn't hear yourself think. I wanted the room I'd go to.
It's small on purpose. We know the regulars by name and the newcomers by the end of their first drink. Come alone with a book, or bring six friends and take the corner.

What people say
The only place in Rochester where I can sit for three hours and nobody asks if I'm done. The rum list alone is worth the drive.
We took the back room for my father's seventieth. They set out his favourite cigar without being asked. He talked about it for a month.
